Kristen Smith, bassoon
Kristen Smith has been performing professionally for nearly 30 years, most notably as a member of the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra for the past 23 years. She also has extensive experience performing and coaching chamber music ensembles, both within the orchestra and at the University of Dayton, where she serves as bassoon instructor, woodwind area coordinator, and chamber music director for the music department's woodwinds. She has created educational programs for students of all ages and performed as soloist/teacher in many venues. She is well-respected as a teacher, performer, and coach.
